Bob Seger whose real name is Robert Clark, was born on May 6, 1945. Detroit rocker Seger enjoyed early success in the motor city and by the mid-1970's he was a bona fide rock star. Seger cites some of his early influences as James Brown and Elvis Presley.

Seger wrote and recorded quite a few hit songs during the 1970's and 80s including "Night Moves," "Like A Rock" and "Old Time Rock 'n Roll."

As yet another aging rocker who has enjoyed success over the course of five decades or so, Seger continues to perform and record to this day. Bob Seger was inducted into the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame in the year 2004.
