As their name suggests, "Boston" has its roots in the city of Boston, Massachusetts. The group burst onto the music scene with their self-titled a hit album during the 1970s and took the rock 'n roll world by storm. The album included well-known hits "More Than A Feeling" and "Peace of Mind."

"Boston" is also a well-known as a group that has endured and continues to endure their share of personal and legal problems. The tragic death of lead vocalist Brad Delp in 2007 put to rest any hopes of a reunion consisting of the original members, although continuing disagreements among various members of the group probably made that possibility an unlikely one.

The future of the group remains uncertain, with a legal and personal disputes continuing publicly and in the courts. Tom Scholz the founder of the original group continues as the only original member of "Boston," and was instrumental in the organization of a tribute performance honoring Brad Delp during the summer of 2007.
