Don Henley was born on July 22, 1947 in Gilmer, Texas. Henley is a rock singer, songwriter and drummer, probably best known as one of the founding membesr of the Eagles before he launched his own successful Grammy Award-winning solo career.

In 2008, he had the honot of being ranked the 87th greatest singer of all time by Rolling Stone magazine. Henley is also quite active in a number of environmental and political projects, most recognizable being the Walden Woods Project.

Since 1994, Henley has shared his musical efforts between the Eagles and his own solo career.
