Although he may not be returning to his duties behind the keyboards alongside Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band full-time, Danny Federici appeared on stage on March 20 in Indianapolis, according to fan site Backstreets.com.
It was reported back in November that Federici would be taking some time off from the tour to receive treatment for melanoma and has not been part of the tour since that time.
Federici’s recent return to the stage was reported to be a very special event for "The Boss" and the rest of the group as well as the fans in attendance.
The returning keyboard player was not on stage for the entire show and shared the spot with Charlie Giordano who has been filling in during Federici’s absence.
This certainly seems to indicate that Federici is making good progress and perhaps he can be expected to rejoin the group full-time in the near future.
