There’s an interesting blog post by a Boston-area songwriter John Gregory Martin who was left with a very good impression after meeting Brad Delp.
He was also impressed by Delp’s ability as a singer and apparently saw him perform a few times.
More interestingly, Martin somehow came into some old Boston demo tapes from 1975 which he kindly shares by way of a link on his blog.
These recordings are obviously not as polished as the same songs as they were recorded for Boston’s first album, but even still, I was impressed with them and the sound of the band at that time. And yes, as Martin points out on his blog, Brad Delp does sound damn good.
Martin also reports that he was in attendance at the Brad Delp Tribute Sunday night and describes it as a “classy, enjoyable event.”
