Eagles Lucky To Still Be Around
— November 7, 2007 0 27That seems to be the sentiment expressed by Eagles drummer and vocalist Don Henley. Some recent comments by Henley reveal that the band took part in their share of typical rock star behavior back when they were younger and probably had more energy than they do today.
I guess the Eagles are not a group that comes to mind as readily as some of the heavy-duty metal acts when you think about the wild side of the rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle, but apparently the Eagles held their own.
There is that song ("Life’s Been Good") by Joe Walsh where he makes mention of tearing out hotel room walls, but whether or not he was talking about his time with the Eagles is not known. At least not to me.
With the release of their latest album, Long Road Out of Eden, I’m sure many Eagles fans are also glad that they are still around and healthy enough to make new records and do a few shows.
Speaking of shows, the Eagles are set to perform tonight at the Country Music Awards Ceremony, which will air on ABC at 8:00 pm EST.
