Now Why Would Bon Jovi Team With Bank of America on A Credit Card Deal?

Yes, I think we all know that money is the obvious answer to that question, but what I’m really wondering is why they would be teaming up with a mega-bank, whose main business is getting people into debt and keeping them there as long as possible. Especially during times like this, when the actions of big greedy corporations contributed so generously to this mess we find ourselves in.

I’ll admit that I’m biased on this one. I do not like credit card companies. There’s a myriad of reasons for this, including the fact that I simply think that a lot of them are scum.

A relative of mine has had a lot of problems with Bank of America that are still not resolved. I’ve had my share of squabbles with well-known credit card companies, as well over the years, which does not leave me with feelings of high regard for that industry as a whole.

I’ll concede that there might be some half-decent credit card companies out there that I’m not aware of, but Bank of America is not among them in my opinion.

I’m 100 percent in agreement with Anti Music’s sarcastic report about this Bon Jovi-Bank of America deal, and it really has taken Bon Jovi down a few notches for me.

There are a lot of industries out there that celebrities and rock stars can associate themselves with, why Bon Jovi would choose to team up with a big bank on a credit card deal is beyond me. Other than, like I said earlier, the money, which seems to be the only way to make sense of this.

It’s kind of ironic that the original scoop on this seems to have come from a site called Sleaze Roxx, because this sure smells like a sleazy deal to me.

I’m sure some dedicated Bon Jovi fans will come to their defense, but while you’re at it, tell me that you’ve never had a bad experience, or know someone who has a bad experience with a credit card company. They are the legalized loan sharks of our society, whose goal is to keep as many people in debt as possible, while stuffing their coffers with the profits they collect through high interest payments.

Sure, personal responsibility has a lot to do with staying clear of getting too deeply in debt, but desperation figures into this as well when you consider families whose bread winners have lost their jobs, and have nowhere else to turn to pay their mortgage, or feed their kids until they can find a new job – which is likely to become increasingly more difficult these days. A lot of debt can mount up in the meanwhile.

Bad move, Bon Jovi. Haven’t you heard about all the irresponsible acts perpetrated by big financial institutions that have greatly contributed to the most serious financial crisis we have seen in years? Maybe you guys don’t have much time to keep up with the news, since you may be too busy counting your cash.

I can’t recall any other musical acts ever teaming up with credit card companies, so I’m wondering if this is a first. If you know otherwise, drop a comment and let me know.
