Yes Regrouping?

I saw this rumor for the first time a couple of days ago and now I am starting to see it appear elsewhere around the net, so perhaps there is something to it.

image Some sources are claiming that the “official” word has been given, but I have not seen it coming from any source I would consider “official” so far, so it may be wise to be a bit skeptical about this one until it comes from a trusted source.

These rumors have Yes members Jon Anderson, Steve Howe, Chris Squire and Alan White teaming up with Oliver Wakeman (keyboards) for a world tour that will begin this summer.

Yes is a longtime favorite of mine and perhaps one of the defining acts in progressive rock, so it will be quite interesting if the group does indeed hit the road this year.

    from wiki:

    [edit] 40th Anniversary Tour
In honour of the band’s 40th Anniversary, Yes have officially announced a 2008 world tour. As previously rumoured, the tour will feature Anderson, Squire, Howe, and White, and also include Oliver Wakeman sitting in on keyboards, in lieu of his father, Rick.[4] Dates of the tour have yet to be revealed, but as Anderson is touring North America, Howe is touring with Asia, and White is touring with new band CIRCA:, the tour would begin in summer at the earliest, and as suggested by a recent radio interview, July or August may be the starting point. [5] In the interview, Anderson said that he had sent Oliver the set list, and that he is learning the songs now. As part of Yes’ return from hiatus, their official website is undergoing a re-build.
