Interview With Styx Veteran Tommy Shaw
— July 30, 2007 0 229Another interesting piece on Melodicrock.com features a good interview with Tommy Shaw, the quite recognizable figure that rocked with Styx.
I thought it was amusing to hear his comments about how I got hired into Styx, which basically boiled down to his appearance being just what the band was looking for.
He also talks quite a bit about Styx bass player Check Panozzo, who has struggled with HIV and AIDS and had to deal with being a gay person in the public spotlight. Panozzo has recently come out with a book called The Grand Illusion: Love, Lies, and My Life With Styx.
Shaw also reveals that there is some thought and some talk about a new Styx album although he also says they will not be able to get serious about it until next year.
