Led Zeppelin Legends Join Foo Fighters on Stage

2 28

The guys that make up Foo Fighters must be pretty well liked within the rock star community. A while back they were joined on stage by Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson of Rush for a surprise performance in Toronto, much to the delight of the Canadian fans in attendance.

This time the group was joined by Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones for another surprise performance at Wembley Stadium in the U.K. on June 7.

The surprise came at the end of the Foo Fighters show during the encore which included Page and Jones belting out the timeless Led Zeppelin classics "Rock And Roll" and "Ramble On."

Dave Grohl returned to his former post behind the drums during the encore while current drummer Taylor Hawkins moved to the front of the stage to provide lead vocals.

Grohl was obviously thrilled and made no secret of it. You can read more about the event on NME.com.

Grohl, who has John Bonham’s symbol off of Zep-IV tattooed on his wrist, remains firmly convinced that Led Zeppelin were the greatest band of all time. A few hundred million people, including myself, agree with him 100%. I’m jealous of those who were at the Foo’s Wembley show.
