Steven Tyler’s ‘Other’ Daughter Pens Autobiography of Her Own
She may not be as recognizable as her movie-star half-sister Liv, but Mia Tyler, the Aerosmith frontman’s eldest daughter has earned her own celebrity status as a plus-size model. She’s also done some acting, appearing in Rush Hour 3, as well as in TV series Celebrity Fit Club during 2005.
Now she’s making news of her own with the release of her new autobiography entitled Creating Myself: How I Learned That Beauty Comes in All Shapes, Sizes, and Packages, Including Me. I don’t know whether the beauty she refers to is inner or outer beauty, but it is clear why she has found success as a plus-size model — she’s an attractive woman, and judging from the excerpt I read at the Today Show website, a fine writer as well.
The excerpt of the book I mentioned above centers around a trip to her childhood home on Lake Sunapee in New Hampshire. A trip that her and her rock star dad made together by car from neighboring Massachusetts that ended up being an emotional journey back through time, and an unexpected discovery that led to feelings of forgiveness for her late mother, whose struggles with addiction made for a less-than-ideal childhood for young Mia.
The author struggles with her own demons later in life when she finds herself following the path that both of her parents walked on before her, the one that led to drug addiction and the emotional and physical damage that often results.
I suspect this book will be a good read for many Aerosmith fans who may find the glimpse into the life of a rock star’s daughter interesting and entertaining. It could also be considered inspirational for people who are struggling with or have struggled with substance abuse, since Mia Tyler seems to have defeated her demons and is now enjoying continued success as both a model and actress.
Mia Tyler has been recently, or is currently working on a new film called, Inheridance by writer/director Kevin Ford.
i THINK i WILL CHECK THIS BOOK OUT…THANKS..
