Appearing at the Nickolodeon’s 2008 Kid’s Choice Awards on Saturday, new Van Halen bass player, Wolfgang Van Halen, say his father Eddie is doing great.

There’s still a lot of mystery surrounding the cause of Eddie Van Halen’s medical problems, although there was much speculation that he was in rehab. Van Halen’s ex-wife Valerie Bertinelli has stated recently that Eddie is sober and is not in rehab.

Van Halen is scheduled to resume their tour on April 17 in Reno. The Reno date is a new one that was reportedly added by the group after “overwhelming fan demand.” Before this new date, the group was scheduled to resume their tour in Las Vegas on April 19.

Van Halen halted their tour a few weeks ago so that Eddie could deal with his medical problems. Whether or not the true nature of his medical problems becomes public remains to be seen.
