Rush Extends Snakes & Arrows Tour Into 2008

Canadian power trio Rush has announced that they will revive their Snakes & Arrows tour and take it on the road again next year beginning in April with a show in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

image The band will hit more than 40 cities in the U.S. and Canada and making stops in cities they have not visited in quite some time such as Orlando, Oklahoma City, New Orleans, Austin, Jacksonville and Winnipeg.

Other cities include Chicago, Detroit, Philadelphia,  Boston, Washington and Charlotte.

Personally, I’m a little surprised to hear this news. Reading about some of the less pleasant aspects of touring on Neil Peart’s site recently and realizing his obvious happiness to have returned home after the European leg of their recent tour made me doubtful about his desire to tour at all any more.

This is great news for Rush fans and a second chance for those that missed the North American portion of what we now know was “Part 1” of the Snakes & Arrows tour.
