No Peace In Boston

I was rather hoping we have heard the last of the feuding between various people connected with the group Boston. Report of a lawsuit seems to indicate that it might be quite a while before this stuff ever comes to an end.

Tom Scholz has filed a lawsuit against late Boston singer Brad Delp’s ex-wife and the wife of Boston guitarist Barry Goudreau for allegedly defaming him by blaming him for Brad Delp’s suicide last March.

Scholz is claiming that the women have made false statements about him in Internet chat rooms while using fake names and also set up a web site that was intended to confuse users and direct traffic away from his charitable web site dtscf.org.

The Boston Globe is reporting that a judge has thus far ordered a temporary restraining order to prevent Goudreau’s wife Connie from changing or deleting information on her computer.

For her part, Delp’s ex-wife Micki is said to have not bothered responding to the suit and is therefore automatically found liable. Scholz attorney Sue Stenger says that any monetary payment due from Micki Delp will be decided in the coming months. Scholz’s lawsuit does not specify a dollar amount.

I guess it was a bit foolish to believe that all the nastiness had come to an end following the Brad Delp tribute concert last August. It all seemed to go so well and there seemed to be a copious amount of goodwill on hand at the event and now we hear about this.
