Springsteen Keyboard Player Sitting Out For Medical Reasons
— November 23, 2007 1 30Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band will have to do without their keyboard player for now due to medical treatment that will be required for melanoma.
Danny Federici has decided to take some time away from the group for his treatment and will be replaced with Charles Giordano who has worked with Springsteen in the past. Giordano will start on November 24 with the Madrid show.
In a statement, Springsteen said: “Danny is one of the pillars of our sound and has played beside me as a great friend for more than 40 years,” Springsteen said in a statement. “We all eagerly await his healthy and speedy return.”
