According to ABC News, Diamond David Lee Roth recently said that be believes a reunion of the original Van Halen is inevitable. Apparently, he stays in touch with at least some of his hold band mates since he reported talking recently with drummer Alex Van Halen.

As you may know, Roth is now playing DJ on a number of east coast radio stations and is occupying Howard Stern’s old time slot. Before that he was working as an EMT in New York City. I’ve got to give the guy credit for a pretty diverse and interesting resume.

I, for one, would be very surprised to see a Van Halen reunion, but apparently, where Roth is concerned, you never know what might happen. I think it would be interesting to see a reunion, although I liked their sound better when Hagar was playing with them.

More power to them if they decide to get back together for something. I’d like to hear what they would come up with given the chance.
